For the last 25 years Ian has lectured on, presented and taught Basement waterproofing, Buried deck waterproofing, Remedial damp and timber surveying and the use of Lime plasters and mortars. Ian Has presented a RIBA approved presentation on Basement waterproofing compliance and presented workshops to contractors and designers on the practical considerations for basement waterproofing.

Ian has worked in the waterproofing, damp and timber treatment industry for 40 years.

For the last 25 years Ian has overseen the design of over 20,000 waterproofing projects including.

Am I independent

I am completely independent of any manufacturer. I do still own a large waterproofing company that operates across London and the South. If I take on consultancy it is on the basis that it is not the sort of project for MacLennanuk or is outside of the geographical area covered by MacLennan waterproofing so then I am totally independent with no commercial interest.

I have been presenting CPD training to market leading Engineers, architects, surveyors and building contractors. In Devon I can do this in person or remotely.
